In a landmark moment for Pakistani Esports, PUBG Mobile squad 4Thrives has emerged as a global contender, finishing seventh in the prestigious PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025 Grand Finals.
Competing against the world’s elite, 4Thrives secured 109 points in the finals, earning $80,000 in prize money. Coupled with their $77,000 group stage earnings, the team walked away with $157,000 (over Rs4 crore)—a figure that reflects both their in-game prowess and the rapid growth of Esports in Pakistan.
FALAK Among Global Standouts in PMWC Stats
Falak Sher, known in-game as “FALAK”, was one of the standout performers of the tournament. He ranked 6th in total eliminations and 3rd in overall damage dealt—a clear indicator of his individual brilliance on the international stage.
But this wasn’t a solo act. The team, including Sameer “Nocki” Khan, Hasnain “T24OP” Rehman, Shayan “IQ” Asad, and Niash “CAIRO” Hassan, demonstrated high-level coordination and consistency. Managed and analyzed by Usman “SHAHEEN” Tariq, the squad entered the finals directly after a strong performance in the survival stage and finished second in the group stage with 111 kills, 65 eliminations, and two Chicken Dinners.
A Self-Built Team Making S-Tier History
What makes 4Thrives’ success even more remarkable is how quickly and independently they rose to prominence. The team was founded just nine months ago on December 1, 2024, and unlike many of their competitors, they operate without external sponsorship.
Their historic run at PMWC marks the first time a Pakistani PUBG Mobile team has qualified for the finals of an S-tier tournament, a level typically dominated by franchise-backed organizations.
FALAK, who also owns the team, and IQ, the in-game leader, have led a campaign fueled not by corporate funding but by personal commitment and sharp tactical gameplay.
From Local Battles to the World Stage
The road to PMWC was paved through a series of strong performances in domestic and regional events. Earlier this year, 4Thrives claimed third place at the PMSL CSA Spring 2025, earning $18,750 and becoming the first Pakistani team to qualify for the Esports World Cup.
Their consistent trajectory—beginning with grassroots events like PMNC Pakistan—has positioned them as serious contenders for a partner team slot in the upcoming PMSL Fall 2025, and they’re now in the running for a spot at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 thanks to the PMGC points they’ve accumulated.
Esports World Cup: A New Era for Competitive Gaming
The PMWC is one of the headline titles in the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025, an international competition featuring games like Valorant, Dota 2, Free Fire, and Tekken, with an eye-watering $70 million total prize pool. PMWC alone offered $3 million, attracting top-tier teams from across the globe.
4Thrives’ breakthrough at such a scale sends a clear message: Pakistan is no longer just a spectator in global Esports—it’s a competitor.
