Pakistan’s Senate has unanimously approved a resolution marking 1,500 years since the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), underscoring the significance of the milestone for the Muslim world.
The resolution, tabled by PML-N’s parliamentary leader Irfan Siddiqui, urged the nation to renew its commitment to the Prophet’s teachings—particularly the values of peace, unity, and compassion. Lawmakers stressed that these principles remain central to addressing present-day divisions and societal challenges.
Under the motion, both federal and provincial administrations have been encouraged to organize dignified and meaningful events in celebration of the Prophet’s birth anniversary. While details of planned activities were not outlined, senators emphasized that the occasion should inspire practical steps toward fostering harmony across communities.
